Job description
Solinear are currently seeking a hardworking and proactive Manufacturing Operative to join our team in Sheriff Hutton, York. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday - 37.5 Hours.
You will be part of a dynamic team who manufactures our range of bespoke products, including architectural facades, solar shading, and louvres, from a variety of materials such as aluminium, steel and timber. The use of hand tools is a necessary competency, however, full training is available for the use of Solinear machinery such as the CNC machine and Double Mitre Saws.

Key Responsibilities, Understanding and Experiences:
Fabricating / Manufacturing
- Cut, machine, and assemble various Solinear products using Double Mitre Saw and CNC Machines (internal machine training can be provided).
- Complete work to agreed deadlines.
Quality
- Produce high-quality products to tight tolerances.
- Check the works of third parties to the relevant quality (framework provided).
Logistics
- Support the Goods in / Goods out process and monitoring.
- Use the forklift truck (license can be provided) to off/load wagons and move materials around the facility as required.
Health and Safety:
- Be responsible for your own health and safety and for others in the team. Following Solinear guidelines such as correct use of PPE, manual handling, observation of clearance zones, etc.
- Report any potential risks to health and safety procedures to the relevant people.

Salary: £22,500.00 per year
