Job Title: Manufacturing Manager
Morgan King are delighted to be partnered with a market leading manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Manager to join their busy manufacturing team.
Duties & Responisbilities
- Promote and maintain a healthy, safe, and cleaning working environment.
- Production & Project Support
- Support with implementing measures to promote a preventative and quality focused business area.
- Ensure standardised working procedures are in place for key areas within Paint Department
- Management of team to include, absence management, return to work interviews, one to one development reviews and team briefing sessions
- Support and instigate any investigations of any concerns/Problem resolution.
- Assist in finding solutions and follow all actions to resolution.
- Support in the creation of production assignments aligned to manufacturing build requirements.
- Support in identifying and evaluating any training requirements as needed.
- Co-ordinate "on the job" training for new processes
- Liaise and build relationships with our paint suppliers.
- Conduct regular process audits and root cause analysis using manufacturing lean processes.
- Understanding quality standards and processes for paint spraying ensuring business targets are met for QCD.
- To be aware of and actively promote and implement company ethos, culture, and values.
Knowledge & Experience
Working from the factory, you will be the subject matter expert in all areas of the paint process including selection of paint products and associated equipment, working with paint suppliers to improve on the existing process, whilst also managing a team of Paint Operatives.
This role involves the monitoring of processes, quality, cost, and delivery on targets as set by the business. There are also continuous improvement activities, problem resolution, development and introduction of any new processes and tooling in the paint department.
The role will provide opportunities to undertake a wide range of tasks and enables the successful candidate to gain experience with new technologies, learn and improve their knowledge of quality metrics, problem resolution, continuous improvement, and auditing processes.
There may be a requirement to support shift working, so flexibility will be required.
Skills Required
- Subject matter expert for paint and its processes in a manufacturing environment
- Previous manufacturing, production knowledge and experience with paint processes
- Computer literate (MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Good product knowledge
