- Previous experience of working in a Treasury, Accounting, Finance or Banking position
- Ideally degree educated in a related degree Accounting / Finance
- Would be of a strong advantage if Certified Treasury Professional
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including cash flow management, liquidity management, financial risk assessment, and investment strategies. Familiarity with financial instruments, banking products, and financial markets.
- Proficiency in managing daily cash flow, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing working capital. Ability to develop cash flow projections and monitor variances to ensure adequate liquidity for the organization’s operations.
- Previous experience of executing treasury transactions, including cash positioning, cash pooling, bank account management, and payment processing. Familiarity with treasury management systems and financial technologies used for efficient treasury operations.
- Familiarity with treasury management system (TMS) and financial software tolls to streamline treasure processes, automate cash management, and enhance reporting capabilities. Ability to leverage technology for improved efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong ability to use time efficiently to meet multiple deadlines and to take responsibility for completing assignment with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in financial analysis and modelling to evaluate investment opportunities, assess financial risks, and support decision making. Ability to analyse complex financial data and generate meaningful.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners.
- Understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls relevant to treasury operations. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and adhere to internal policies and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills to analyse complex financial situations, identify issues, and purpose effective solutions. Ability to make informed decisions and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders from various departments. Strong communication skills to facilitate productive interactions
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in financial analysis, cash forecasting and transaction processing. Ability to detect errors or discrepancies and take corrective actions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business environments, market conditions, and willingness to learn and stay updated with emerging practices in treasury management.
- Manage cash flow including daily cash balances, cash positioning, anticipating cash needs and ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational requirements
- Support treasury leadership in managing the relationships with banks including overseeing bank accounts and optimising banking services to meet the business needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting related to treasury activities including liquidity reports and other relevant financial information
- Stay updated with financial regulations and compliance requirements relates to Treasury’s operations, ensure adherence to internal polices and external regulations
- Utilise treasury systems and technologies to streamline treasury processes, enhance efficiency and improve reporting capabilities. Supervise and develop treasury professionals, provide guidance, coach and support as needed.
