About the Role - Organisation: Nottingham City Council

Salary: £36,298 per annum rising to £38,296 per annumon first year of anniversary – pro rata for part time (subject to satisfactory completion of probation period)

Working Hours & Contract: Full Time, Permanent – Annualised Hours – 1929 hours per year

Location: Museum Heritage Sites in Nottingham

We are pleased to announce we are re-opening Nottingham Castle, and as part of this great news, we have a fantastic opportunity to hire a Heritage Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for health and safety, security, maintenance, site audits, processes and protocols. The Heritage Operations Manager will be responsible for licensing & legal compliance for all buildings, structures and estates within the Heritage & Museums service. The post holder will ensure all statutory requirements are fully met across all heritage museum sites acting as an advocate for integrated site management. The Heritage Operations Manager will provide operational management support at Nottingham Castle and other museum sites, as directed.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

· Knowledge / experience of issues regards to managing multiple museums, heritage sites, historic parks, visitor attractions related to operations areas

· Experience of working at a senior level with experience of delivering a range of functions & effective improvements to across sites and services

· Knowledge and practical experience of Health & Safety regulations, building, grounds maintenance and site security

· Experience of managing and leading a team including to delegate, inspire, and encourage effective team and cross site/service work

· Experience of maintenance of IT, AV business management systems and application of Microsoft packages

· Able to work across all museum sites –including evening, weekends and bank holidays
