The role
The Manufacturing Excellence Industrial Engineer is a member of the local PET Technical Teams and Manufacturing Excellence network. The role provides process, project leadership, management and expertise in order to:
- Embed a culture of Manufacturing Excellence through the adoption of the Astra Zeneca Supply System (AZSS), focusing on Asset Care / TPM application.
- Engage with equipment manufactures / 3rd party suppliers building relationship and service improvements
- Provide asset care / TPM support & facilitation across the PET, building knowledge and capability in this area
- Align and prioritise activities to support execution/achievement of the PET(s) strategy and scorecard.
- Influence “ways of working” through the implementation of standard practices through working directly with “process teams” and “leadership teams”
- Supports PETs portfolio projects and activities to realise agreed outcomes/benefits
- Identifies, scopes and initiates/advises on cross functional improvement projects to implement the operational plans, improve plant utilisation and minimise supply chain impacts
- Presents information and recommendations for discussion at higher levels within the business and influences decisions
Essential requirements
- Educated to degree level in related technical/business discipline
- Demonstrated industry related experience in Asset Care / TPM and Lean/Six Sigma programs
- Experience in process & project management and improvement
Desirable requirements
- Six Sigma Green Belt training and/or certification from an accredited external Quality program
- Expertise in the application of analytical problem-solving methodology
- Understanding of Good Automated Manufacturing Practice, current Good Manufacturing Practice and regulations as defined by local regulatory bodies
