Manufacturing Engineer
Scope of position:
The Manufacturing Engineer is primarily responsible for process improvements for the assembly of product applying automated assembly and production equipment as well as providing support to the production floor. The Manufacturing Engineer will also be involved in the procurement of new equipment to support capacity improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
- Plans and crafts manufacturing processes in industrial plants.
- Improves efficiency of processes by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
- Analyzes and determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
- Controls and manages a variety of features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
- Retains a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a firm understanding of principles and practices of related specialties. May supervise technicians on assigned work when needed.
- Provides a smooth interchange of ideas and information between supervisor, engineers, co-workers, and customers.
Education/experience
- A Bachelor's in Engineering or 3 years of proven track record as an engineer.
- Experience in the automotive industry or global manufacturing preferred.
- Able to apply past experience to resolve appropriate techniques and procedures in an efficient manner with little direction or guidance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

- Bachelor's (Preferred)

- Process improvement: 3 years (Preferred)
- Lean manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
