Job description
We have a new vacancy for a Surfacing Operative based out of Peterborough to support various road surfacing projects. This is a varied role that will involve small, short-term projects as well as longer-term flagship projects.
As a Surfacing Operative reporting to the Supervisor you will take on work in a safe manner in accordance with the company Integrated Management System with due regards for the public, customers and other site employees. You will ensure that plant and equipment is used in a correct manner and is maintained in accordance with company requirements. It will be your duty to maintain a clean and workmanlike appearance, keeping clothing and PPE in a good serviceable condition.

What will you bring?
- Experienced in all aspects of asphalt surfacing is desirable but can be trained.
- General Operative with a requirement for drive and enthusiasm and is able to work as part of a shift team
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- CSCS relevant qualification.
- Ability and desire to learn.
- Desire to maintain high quality workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
- Willingness to work away/ weekends occasionally.
