We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer (Additive) to join our Workshop team based at our state-of-the-art facility near Coventry.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be involved in the operation of the manufacturing processes to deliver the final product, ensuring that the customer’s specifications are met and delivered within the timescale and agreed budget.
You will create optimum manufacturing methods and sequences, resolving non-conformance and liaising closely with the customer to enhance the design of products. A confident communicator, you will feel comfortable liaising with Design Engineer / Designers, providing feedback on designs and highlighting any necessary improvements. Innovative and inspirational, you will identify new manufacturing capabilities for the workshop, supporting the creation of technology roadmaps to ensure world class processes are continuously developing.
With significant and proven experience and expertise in additive manufacturing, you will have experience in using Materialise Magics to process CAD files for manufacture in laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) along with experience with machine related software to create build files and parameter development.
You will also have experience in operating L-PBF, polymer, Metal Binder Jetting and novel AM equipment along with the ability to translate customer requirements/models and technical drawings into a Method and Sequence of Manufacture.
