Job description
· Experience essential but, full on the job training will be given to successful candidate.
· Responsible for setting up and tending manual lathe machines.
· Follow instructions, engineering drawings and charts during procedures.
· Ability to use measuring equipment, Verniers, callipers etc.
- Ability to read detailed drawings in both metric and imperial measurements would be advantageous.
- Experience with screw cutting and taper turning would be an advantage.
- Versatility and experience with other factory floor machinery is advantageous.
· To undertake other duties within the workplace to cover holidays/sickness etc.
· You may be required to work overtime as and when requested depending on the needs of the business.
· Assist, when required, with the training of new staff.
