We are seeking a Managing Director of International Sell-side Sales to join our team! This role reports to the Chief Sales Officer and has matrixed accountability to the President, Broadridge International and President, Capital Markets leading a team of 5 managers and 60+ sales executives based in EMEA and APAC together with a team of presales consultants and SMEs.
The Managing Director is responsible for an overall quota in excess of $45M recurrent and event driven sales. The sales and pre-sales teams have responsibility for originating and closing new sales through initiating contact with existing and potential clients within the financial services and brokerage communities throughout the EMEA and APAC regions.
The Managing Director is accountable for overall sales performance, meeting and achieving goals, and aligning sales objectives with Broadridge's business strategy. They will be responsible for implementing new strategies in partnership with Broadridge's business and Global sales leaders to enhance the company's vision and values.
They will also work with their leadership team to understand clients' strategic objectives and how Broadridge can partner to win and develop networks and hold C-suite relationships.
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the International Sell-side Sales organisation's management team while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behaviour.
- Align the sales organisation's objectives with Broadridge's' International strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budget to grow Broadridge's International footprint and maximize revenue.
- Lead sales organisation change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organisational change, championing change initiatives, and removing obstacles impeding constructive change.
- Partner with Broadridge's Buy-side Sales, Premier Account Leaders and Global BU leaders to maximize results across buy and sell-side institutions via collaboration and joint focus.
- Collaborate with Broadridge Global BU leaders to ensure consistent alignment on sales strategies and general management issues to enable the business' goals and targets.
- Collaborate and work as a thought leader with Marketing to build, promote and maintain the Broadridge brand internationally.
- Recruit, retain and motivate a best-in-class diverse sales organisation, driving value-based leadership cultures, collaboration, and adaptability.
- Maintain a stable knowledge base of the financial services industry, competitors, and regulatory activity.
- Establish and maintain productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.
- Develop and maintain strong networks of relationships at the C Suite levels.
- Maintain constant awareness of Broadridge products and solutions; interface with clients to keep them abreast of product information.
- Responsible for providing Broadridge Senior Management with all requested sales reports and supporting correspondence, including the utilization of the Sales management tool.
- Any other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Extensive sales experience, with five or more years of sales leadership experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire the sales leaders responsible for leading the teams.
- Extensive sales experience in the financial services/brokerage industry together with experience of Governance solutions in the Investor space.
- Must be able to demonstrate their track record to meet and exceed annual sales targets and manage sales leaders to meet/exceed targets.
- The capability to build a pipeline; effectively forecast and meet quarterly target assignments and coach the leaders to do likewise.
- Membership in multiple industry organisations with pre-existing contract networks within the industry.
- Strong leadership and business development competencies coupled with personal accountability.
- Excellent knowledge of the brokerage industry (front to back-office operations) and must be able to quickly learn the details of our core offering, sufficient to drive client interest, grow pipeline, and close sales.
- Ability to initiate, develop and maintain relationships both externally and internally.
- Ability to apply consultative sales approach to problem-solving with prospective clients and demonstrate this.
- Excellent presentations and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Aggressive sales hunter and closer.
