Government Affairs & Public Policy @ Autodesk team works with governments and industry in key markets for our business to promote policies that support digital design and construction of buildings and public infrastructure, smart water policy, advanced manufacturing, and visual effects production for media and entertainment.
Position Overview
The Manager of Government Affairs and Public Policy, based in London (preferred) or Dublin, will be supporting the work of the Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), with a primary focus on the UK and Ireland. This position will advance Autodesk’s policy goals and values before the region’s key public stakeholders and policymakers, establish relationships with these stakeholders, participate in major organizations related to policy and advocacy, monitor and provide support on policy issues affecting the business. Among the relevant policy issues are matters involving building and infrastructure design and construction, Building Information Modeling (BIM), data privacy, sustainability, water management, advanced manufacturing, government procurement, and economic development.
Responsibilities

Support the development and execution of Government Affairs strategies and programs in EMEA on relevant policy issues, with a primary focus on the UK and Ireland

Work with Government Affairs, Legal and Business management teams to understand Autodesk business goals and strategies and identify key public policy developments and opportunities that affect the company

Develop and execute engagement strategies with public policymakers, enhance Autodesk’s reputation and establish relationships with key government officials

Monitor and analyze political and legislative developments in priority countries and assess the possible impact on Autodesk’s business and reputation

Identify and engage with regional and specific country industry associations, coalitions, and other third-party organizations and foster strong relationships with like-minded companies to strengthen support for Autodesk’s objectives

Write policy and issue briefings for internal and external communications

Support compliance with all applicable laws and Autodesk policies, including laws and policies relating to anti- corruption, political law, and other provisions
Minimum Qualifications
-
A degree in a discipline related to public policy, law or public administration is preferred

5+ years of working experience in government positions in the UK, Ireland or the EU institutions, or government affairs for a private-sector company or association in the technology or construction or manufacturing industry

Demonstrated ability to manage public policy issues, navigate government structures, and advocate effectively before government officials in the UK, Ireland or the EU institutions.

Capable of working in a highly matrixed environment, with a broad range of professionals in different geographies
