Role: Spa Supervisor
Reporting to: Accommodation Manager
Located: Let’s Go Hydro,Knockbracken Watersports & Activity Resort, Mealough Road
Contract: Fixed term June - October, up to 40-hours, five-days out of 7-week, varied rota
Salary: £13 p/h
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Spa Supervisor to manage our brand new outdoor spa. The successful applicant will be responsible for the smooth running of the spa operation as well as managing a team of assistants during peak season. The spa area includes saunas, hot tubs, relaxation pool, changing rooms and guests are provided with branded flip flops and robes which will be the responsibility of the Spa Supervisor to turnover and circulate. The spa supervisor will be responsible for the full customer journey from check in to check out.
Hours will be varied and will include working evenings and weekends. Your days will be varied, managing the reception duties (check in / check out procedures), maintaining the spa area, dealing with guest queries, replenishing robes and flip flops, as well as cleaning down saunas, hot tubs, changing room and pool areas.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, paying great attention to detail, including the wait time for the customer journey
- Manage the booking system accurately and efficiently, including identifying the business peaks and troughs, working alongside the other departments to communicate details and information needed to ensure smooth running of all aspects of operations
- Organise training, re-training of staff, and keep records up to date
- Carry out all admin and operational duties in preparation for guest arrivals
- Carry out basic maintenance and repairs, report any issues to maintenance team
- First point of contact for all spa guests, must be professional and be able to answer guest queries, and resolve any issues
- Ensure staff comply with the opening and end of day procedures
- This is not an exhaustive and responsibilities will evolve and change depending on business needs
To be considered for this role you will have management experience working within the leisure, fast paced hospitality, or spa industry.
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Criteria:
- 2+ years experience in a similar role within leisure, hospitality or spa industry is essential
- Must enjoy working outdoors, in a hands on role
- Excellent customer services skills and experience
- Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport and trust
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, with decision making skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent timekeeping, with a can-do attitude and positive outlook
- Excellent Microsoft packages skills
- Online booking system experience is desirable
- Committed, motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic with an approachable attitude towards work
- Right to Work in the UK (UK Citizens - Passport or Birth Certificate & NI / All other Citizens - Copy of Sharecode Document)
- Full clean driving licence, and access to a vehicle
- Flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends
- Must have NO more than one week’s holiday booked through our peak season July & August
This is a hands-on role, and although there will be some administration tasks a hardworking, flexible attitude is required. Excellent people skills and experience working with families & young people is essential and you must be enthusiastic and passionate about your role and working outdoors.
