We are currently recruiting a Management Accountant to join our finance team in Hull.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a strong management accountant who has previous manufacturing experience to join the business at a really exciting time.

As long as you have Management Accountant experience within manufacturing, we will consider applicants who are fully qualified, part qualified or QBE (qualified by experience).
This is a key role in the business and will be responsible for providing management accounts, reporting and insightful financial analysis for our Blackburn & Shadsworth sites. You will report to the Group Operational Financial Controller.
The role of a Management Accountant at BBF
- Reporting of and supporting the reduction of Operational Costs with emphasis on manufacturing variances.
- Prepare monthly COGS forecasts, providing analysis of operational variances to assess company performance against targets.
- Review budgets regularly to look for cost and cash reduction opportunities.
- Provide Operations/Supply Chain with inventory insight to minimise stock levels and slow-moving/obsolete inventory.
- Support Operations/Engineering in the production of accurate Capital Expenditure proposals.
- Continuously review existing business practices to identify and implement changes which deliver greater cost efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify, challenge and proactively satisfy internal customer requirements to build a service which enhances effective delivery of site performance.
- Manages data to create meaningful financial reports, identifying trends that provide awareness of potential business improvements.
- Prepare key financial information to drive insight supporting the management team in advance of weekly/monthly meetings/board reports.
- Extraction and analysis of data to support in the production of weekly management accounts.
- Motivate and support more junior team members in delivering their objectives.
- Support in the timely completion of month-end/year-end accounts.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Report timely and accurate financial information to the Group Operational Financial Controller.
