Job description
Location: Our Head Office in Freshwater
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours a week)
We're a young brand located on the Isle of Wight who love what we do and as a fast growth company, there's always something new happening. We’re looking for people who love code and are ready to take their skills to the next level in a professional engineering team.
Technology is at the heart of what we do. We are world leaders in on-demand garment print technology, hosting custom web stores for tens of thousands of brands and fulfilling their orders from our network of automated, print-on-demand factories across the UK. This is only possible because of our team of hard-working, passionate developers who build things that have never been built before.
We grow fast and people quickly progress, so we pick our team carefully. We are all focused and take what we do seriously, whilst considering ourselves the special forces of sustainable fashion. We work hard, but we like having fun too. On team days, going surfing is pretty much a whole-squad operation.
We're welcoming, friendly and we don't care if you've not got much experience. We'll challenge you to be your best, to step up, and we'll build your confidence by trusting you to take on big projects - sometimes they're things that have never been done before.
For the best, there's opportunities to progress - nearly all of our management team are former apprentices or graduate trainees and our training is designed to create future leaders.
Our trainee software engineering program takes confident coders, either self-taught or qualified graduates, and teaches them how to use their skills to make an impact as a professional engineer. Learning doesn't stop there - those who make the most of this opportunity are trained to take leadership responsibilities in the fast-growing team.
Working in this team involves the use of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS & Javascript. We use the Laravel and Vue.js frameworks. We don't require any previous professional work experience for this role, but we do require that the successful applicant has good code experience, ideally in the aforementioned programming languages & frameworks.
Teemill is well known for its high growth, fast track and exciting programming careers. The successful applicant will join a growing team of both full-time and trainee software engineers who are friendly, helpful and all working towards making the Teemill platform the best in the world.
Essential requirements for this role: a passion for code, with examples of projects (ideally in PHP & Javascript), a positive, can-do attitude a strong desire to learn and the ability to work from our Freshwater site on the Isle of Wight.
If you are a confident coder and are interested in joining an exciting high-growth startup, we'd love to hear from you.
