Job description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed term post of 12 months
The shift pattern for this position is flexible.
To support the Older People services and associated service managers through delivery of robust financial management and reporting underpinned by financial controls. Implementing strategies, policies and procedures that will impact board wide. Developing a network of contacts and good relationships and developing partnership working with locality teams/groups Assist stakeholders in business planning and challenging assumptions and anticipating issues. Forecasting financial information whilst accounting for risks and challenges. Delivery of monthly financial reports for service managers and tailored financial reports to meet the needs of the service.
Ideally you will have well developed communication and presentations skills and be competent in presenting and preparing key financial schedules.
Detailed knowledge of HSCP agenda and Developments would also prove invaluable in this role.
