Job description
Hughes Bros are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join us at our family-owned agricultural engineering company based in Oswestry, Shropshire.
Who we are:
Since 1963 we have been based at Smithfield Works, Oswestry providing sales and repairs for tractors and agricultural machinery. Today, we are dealers for Kubota, Yamaha and Kverneland with the recent addition of a Kubota ground care division.

The role:
Working alongside Directors, you will be accountable for the management of end-to-end accounting process, including forecasting, preparation and posting of accounts and VAT returns.
Salary:
£40,000-£45,000 p/a depending on experience
Working hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Key duties include:
- End-to-end preparation of monthly management accounts
- Monitoring and reporting on accounts position
- Calculation and posting of prepayments, accruals and monthly journals
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable functions
- Support with invoicing and payment of suppliers
- VAT Returns
- Cashflow maintenance and forecasting
- Support with payroll functions
- Work alongside directors to ensure and maintain a healthy cash flow
Desirable:
· CIMA Part or Full Qualified is advantageous
· AAT Qualified is advantageous
· Previous use of accounting software
· Experience in previous management accountant role
