Clinical Researcher in Precision Psychiatry Oxford
Job description
We are looking to appoint two clinical researchers to the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), working with the Data Science and the BioResource themes. You will report to Professor Philip McGuire. The posts are full-time and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital, Oxford. The posts are for a fixed term (funded to 31 March 2026) with the possibility of extension. You will be involved in the assessment and analysis of clinical, cognitive, neuroimaging and biological measures in people with mental health disorders. Participants will be recruited from a range of ongoing research studies and clinical services in Oxford and other centres. Biosamples from participants will be collated by the NIHR Oxford Health BioResource Centre, part of the NIHR National Bioresource. These posts would suit a post-foundation year doctor looking for experience in translational or a more experienced doctor with an interest in a clinical academic career. You will have a medical degree and GMC registration, along with a strong interest in clinical research and psychiatry, and excellent writing skills. A higher degree/Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) would be desirable as would experience of Psychosis research You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement and a CV as part of your application The closing date for the posts is 12.00 midday on 31st July 2023. £29,384 to £58,398 per annum Jobs.ac.uk
