We're looking for a Management Accountant to take a leading role in our Finance and Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-scaling, socially-driven organisation and provide best in class support to our internal and external customers. You’ll be critical in producing and maintaining complete, accurate and timely financial information, to implement a strong financial control environment and to drive continuous improvement of finance processes.
How you’ll contribute

Support with regular finance tasks with a drive for continuous improvement
- Accounts Payable processing and payment runs
- Processing employee expenses
- Bank account reconciliation
- Credit card spend reconciliation
- Chasing for receipts / invoices
- Payroll preparation
- Supporting the Financial Controller on technical accounting and tax queries
- Support the operations team by answering customer finance queries
- Supporting the Financial Controller with implementing new/improved processes
- Supporting the Financial Controller with various tasks required for the preparation of management accounts
- Revenue recognition journals and transfer of funds
- Month-end adjustments such as accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll journals
- Assisting with the reconciliation of funds held in the client account
- Creating and sending statements to clients and preparing Charity Payouts to be paid every month
- Dealing with manual charity payouts, invoicing and chargebacks when required
- Sending resellers commission statement & invoice requests
- Producing monthly team OKRs report
- Support documenting business processes and accounting policies when appropriate (or keeping them up to date) to maintain and strengthen internal controls as well as ensure sustainability of the operation and the finance department
About you
- You are a newly qualified ACA/ACCA
- You have working experience of processes and controls
- You are proficient in Xero, MS Excel, Google Suite
- You have excellent attention to detail, good analytical skills, and the ability to analyse numbers quickly and accurately and to communicate them easily to non-finance colleagues
- You are naturally inquisitive and have a desire to improve things, in other words, you dont require an invitation to explore and challenge the status quo
- You enjoy working in an environment where you will experience a broad variety of tasks and responsibilities
We'd love it if
- You are experienced in payment processing and SaaS accounting is highly desirable. Experience in an FCA-regulated business is also a bonus
- You are able to collaborate and challenge cross-functionally to uphold the voice of finance within the business
- You are able to communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and to communicate and work collaboratively with non-finance colleagues and with employees at all levels
