Management Accountant
Our client is seeking a management accountant to join their team and collaborate with their diverse and dynamic client base. This exciting opportunity involves working with fast-growing clients from various industries, offering exceptional management accounting services and delivering valuable insights to enhance their operations. As a customer-centric role, you will be responsible for reporting on our clients' commercial, financial, and accounting activities while fostering strong and lasting client relationships.
Location: Leeds
Salary: £30,000 - £42,000
As the Management Accountant, your key objectives will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and relevant information for clients in a timely manner, engaging in discussions to provide insights.
- Developing annual projections and discussing them with clients to assist in their strategic planning.
- Identifying opportunities to offer additional services and cross-selling to clients.
- Creating and updating comprehensive client cash flow reports when necessary.
- Actively participating in client meetings to discuss results and propose improvements.
- Providing support to other departments as needed.
- Completing all administrative tasks and handling ad hoc duties related to account preparation.
- Taking ownership of your professional development and growth.
- Assisting in the development and training of junior team members.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA professional with a strong background in management accounting.
- Previous experience in a similar management accounting role within a practice or industry setting.
- Technical expertise and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry knowledge.
- Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to confidently interact with clients at all levels, whether in person or via phone.
- A forward-thinking and innovative mindset, consistently seeking ways to add value and improve processes.
- Proficiency in using Xero, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with apps such as Receiptbank and Spotlight would be advantageous.
