We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Quality Assurance Data Analyst.

This is a full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week, operating on a 9.00 to 17.30 shift pattern. The role is office based with some travel required when needed.

The Team
The Quality Assurance and Performance team deliver a crucial function for the organisation. The team are responsible for ensuring that Your Chapter has effective governance arrangements that provide assurance to wider stakeholders. If successful, you will play a key role in contributing to this important aspect of our work and evolving quality assurance and governance processes covering not just our people but key stakeholders, quality, and technical performances.
Collaborating with our operational leaders and residential management teams, you will ensure adherence to a robust quality management framework incorporating several quality improvement measures including:
- Analysis and reporting of serious incidents, accidents, complaints and compliments
- Auditing Service User and stakeholder feedback
- On-site auditing systems including internal mock inspections
- Compliance with Regulatory Bodies i.e. Ofsted, CIW, and Estyn
- Continuous service development programme
Job Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Data Analyst with experience within children/adult social care or clinical environment. We will also consider graduates who are able to translate data and or have experience of project research. As the Quality Assurance Analyst, the main purpose of the role is to:
- Use data to generate insight into the practice delivered to children and young people who use our residential services
- Support our operational teams to improve in the day-to-day management of our children’s homes and our safeguarding practices
- Interpret data to assist in effective decision-making
- To support the development and implementation of quality assurance systems and monitoring tools
- To advise the Quality and Performance Manager on the effectiveness of quality assurance processes, systems, and tools to improve performance and governance
- Assist in driving up quality and performance through early identification of trends and patterns of practice through effective scrutiny of data and research
- To undertake audits and other investigations, providing advice to managers on use of the audit tools
- Ensuring effective and efficient performance standards are adhered to and improved upon through data analytics
- Working closely with the Quality Assurance and Performance Manager in delivering effective and efficient processes for data management
- To support the review of practice, ensuring analysis helps the organisation to deliver a high quality of standard of care delivered to children and young people
- Develop and evaluate quality assurance and governance processes
- Reviewing how governance and quality assurance policy works within the organisation
- Use research to inform quality assurance and data analysis practice
Person specification
- Qualified to Diploma or Degree Level
- Able to demonstrate experience of working within a social care or health organisation, or other professional background
- Experience of child protection and safeguarding children, although not essential
- An ability to learn quickly and interpret and understand regulations and law
- Knowledge of the key performance indicators and their relationship with service delivery and the wider organisational strategic implications
- Analytical and good process management capability
- Ability to monitor and evaluate performance and progress against targets
- Proven experience of working collaboratively with other colleagues/agencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and coaching skills and be enthusiastic about improvement and influencing change
- Experience of using Microsoft Excel and other computer systems to read and analyse data
- Experience of using data to inform practice
- High diligence and attention to detail
- Experience of working to high standards on tight timescales
- Ability to plan, manage, co-ordinate and complete tasks
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- Display high degree of self-motivation and commitment
- Ability to recognise what needs to change to improve services and outcomes
- Ability to interrogate high level reports such as Ofsted annual report and provide summary of the key performance issues affecting for example children residential services
- Knowledge of key research that can be used to influence the shape of the audits and to assess impact on service provided
