It’s an exciting time for our Business Support Team. Over the last year we’ve taken great strides to digitise a lot of our processes; introducing many online applications making it easier for customers to obtain the information they need. We are embarking on a council wide leadership development programme whilst developing an organisational culture through our Team Reading values. About the role
We want our people to be the best they can and to give them a platform from which they can deliver the highest quality services to our customers. This role will work on key functions including; processing applications, accurately inputting information onto electronic records whilst complying with the Data Protection legislation and the Council’s requirements on confidentiality, liaising with external organisations such as the Home Office, Thames Valley Police and the Disclosure & Barring Service.

About you
We’re looking for someone who can combine accuracy and speed, someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines and never losing sight of the customer. You should be literate and numerate and confident in the use of relevant software packages, e.g Excel, Word and databases.
