A business in Scarborough are looking for a Junior Management Accountant to join their established Finance Team due to a period of growth. The successful Junior Management Accountant will receive a competitive salary of up to £25,000, as well as 28 days of annual leave and potential study support.
This is a varied, finance role and would be a well-suited opportunity for a candidate with experience working within a finance team, seeking to develop their own skills beyond traditional Sales and Purchase Ledger responsibilities.
Key responsibilities of the Junior Management Accountant will include:
- General transactional finance duties within the Finance Team.
- Verifying and raising Inter-company recharge invoices.
- Recording and raising Intercompany standing charges.
- Maintaining records for budget control and analysis.
- Preparing data for forecasting and sales targets.
- Assist with any other ad hoc duties.
To be successful in this Junior Management Accountant opportunity you must:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience of working with accounting packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage, as well as experience in Excel and MS Office packages.
- Have previous experience working within a busy Finance Team, ideally in a varied finance role.
- Studying or be AAT qualified or have equivalent, previous experience of working within the finance function of a business.
- Self-starter with an analytical approach.
I would be keen to speak with individuals currently in a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Administrator or Finance Admin role looking for progression to a new role. You may currently be an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Finance Officer seeking a new challenge where you can apply your current skills and develop further.
This role is based in central Scarborough and is easily commutable via car from surrounding areas such as Filey, Whitby, Malton and surrounding areas. Parking is also available on-site.
