You might have professional experience as a support worker, or as a care assistant in a residential or a domiciliary care setting. You may have already worked as a professional live-in carer before. About the role:
Live-in carers live with a client for the duration of their chosen rota pattern, we can be flexible to suit your requirements. You’ll look after one person, providing both care and companionship. Following a person-centered care plan, will enable you to meet your client’s needs. We will ensure you are matched with a client based on your skills so you can provide tailored support and companionship.
Your role will include:
- Managing medical conditions such as dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s and mental health
- Personal care, moving and handling with equipment
- All domestic duties and daily living tasks
- Liaising with health care professionals and documenting information
- Supporting the client with accessing the community where required
- Safe administration of medications and accurate record keeping
Commitment to annual mandatory training.
We’re looking for:
- Experience of working with Multiple Sclerosis
- Professional care experience gained in any care setting, such as live-in carer, domiciliary care, care assistant, support worker, healthcare assistant in the NHS or similar
- A driver’s licence is an advantage but not a requirement. The clients may provide the car and the insurance for you to be able to take your client for the occasional trip out or to go shopping
- You must be flexible to travel to your client placement (UK travel expenses covered, terms and conditions apply)
