Job description

Position Summary:

The Lead Maintenance Technician assists in the day-to-day maintenance operations of an apartment community in Fremont, CA. Must have experience with basic plumbing, electrical, appliance problem solving and general carpentry. This position requires interaction with residents as well as vendors and other team members. A successful candidate will be a good problem solver and a self-starter. This position reports directly to the Community Director.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

*Turning vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins.

*Troubleshooting maintenance service requests and make necessary repairs.

*Provide outstanding customer service when interacting with residents.

*Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, dry walling, appliances and carpentry a must.

*Experience with general swimming pool and hot tub operations.

*Performs daily inspections of buildings, common areas and grounds to maintain cleanliness and safety.

*Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in English

The above is not all inclusive of the responsibilities for this position and individuals will be required to perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the Property Manager, Lead Maintenance Technician, Portfolio Manager, Director of Property Management, CFO, and CEO.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to perform carpentry, electrical, appliance, HVAC, and plumbing repairs
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms
  • On call maintenance for after hour/non business hour emergencies is required
  • Must comply with all safety regulations, including the use of safety equipment when appropriate
  • Must qualify for the position which requires background checks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
