Job description
Part time Accounts Assistant needed for a great client in London, it will be 2.5-3 days per week for 6 months and paying £15.50 per hour.
The main purpose of this role is to manage the Accounts Payable ledger and assist with the management and accurate recording of the business’ costs.
The role requires someone with excellent organizational skills who can prioritise varied tasks within a pressurised environment. Successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail and take pride in the standard of their work, who will be keen to develop this role into more cost analysis.

Accounts Payable:
- Processing supplier invoices
- Ensure appropriate authorisation for payment of invoices from managers in various departments
- Management of aged creditors report
- Issuing supplier remittances
- Reconciliation of supplier statements against vendor account in Workday
- Resolving supplier queries
- Ensuring the accuracy of G/L cost codes and department codes across all vendor invoices
Cash Management:
- Processing payments (BACS, international, etc) via Workday and Nordea portal (generally every 2 weeks)
- Bank reconciliations (GBP, USD, EUR)
Other:
- To perform such other duties that may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by the Senior Manager Accounting and Compliance
Knowledge and Experience:
ESSENTIAL:
- Experience of working with an accounting system
- Excellent attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy
- Methodical, hardworking, organised and enthusiastic, with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills – will be expected to communicate with all departments across various levels of seniority.
- At least be at intermediate level in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, V-lookups)
- Excellent team player, ability to fit into the Finance team as well as the wider Company
- Experience of working with other Microsoft Office tools
- Experience of working with Workday
