Job description
We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Technician to assist the Chief Engineer in the day to day running of a private estate in the Cotswolds.
You will perform maintenance tasks and fault finding on various Lutron lighting, Crestron AV, Trend BMS and Emergency generator power systems.
The Maintenance Technician will be a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously within a team of 3 and be responsible in observing all health and safety guidelines. A rota for weekend working and emergency on call cover will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the highest standards of maintenance and repair for engineering systems throughout the estate.
- Perform intermediate Servicing of fixed fire-fighting misting systems.
- Complete Intermediate level Servicing of sewage and grease separator systems
- Perform Intermediate level Servicing and repair of emergency generator power and UPS Systems.
- Complete maintenance and repair for a private water system.
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, check operation of lighting systems etc.)
- Maintain HVAC ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct servicing and repairs when necessary.
- Maintain ground source heat pumps and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace taps etc.)
- Check Audio Visual systems for functionality and investigate any faults.
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician
- Good understanding of low voltage electrical systems and fault finding
- Good Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Experience with engineering problem-solving skills
- Training in Engineering to C&G/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility in terms of duties and changes of schedules
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information appropriately
- Full UK driving license and own transport (due to location)
- Right to work in the UK
- Excellent checkable references and up to date DBS check
Work Pattern: 5 days a week with flexibility required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis with time off given in lieu.
Excellent salary dependent on experience and training opportunities.
