| Your challenges?
- Conduct Supply Chain Assessments: Perform comprehensive assessments of clients' existing supply chain operations to identify areas of improvement and sustainability challenges. Analyze the entire supply chain, including sourcing, manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
- Develop Sustainable Supply Chain Strategies: Collaborate with clients to develop tailored and effective sustainable supply chain strategies. Incorporate sustainable practices, such as circular economy principles, waste reduction, carbon footprint reduction, and responsible sourcing.
- Optimize Logistics and Transportation: Identify opportunities to optimize transportation routes, modes, and methods to minimize environmental impact, reduce emissions, and enhance efficiency. Analyze logistics networks to streamline operations and reduce energy consumption.
- Implement Green Procurement Practices: Advise clients on implementing sustainable procurement practices, including the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on their environmental performance, ethical standards, and social responsibility. Promote the use of eco-friendly materials and packaging.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives and foster collaboration throughout the supply chain. Engage in effective communication to ensure alignment on sustainability goals and progress.
- Monitor Performance and Metrics: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the environmental impact and sustainability performance of the supply chain. Monitor and report on sustainability metrics regularly, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay Current on Sustainability Trends: Keep abreast of emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices in supply chain management. Apply this knowledge to proactively identify innovative solutions and opportunities for our clients.
| What do we expect from you?
- The minimum required skills necessary for this role:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree in sustainability or a relevant discipline is a plus. - A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain engineering, preferably with a focus on sustainability and environmental practices. Experience in an engineering consulting firm or a similar environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and transportation operations. Familiarity with sustainability concepts, circular economy, life cycle assessment, and sustainable procurement practices. Knowledge of relevant sustainability frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001, LEED) is an asset.
- Proficient in data analysis and modeling to identify inefficiencies, evaluate environmental impact, and recommend sustainable solutions. Experience with supply chain software and optimization tools is beneficial.
- Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing client relationships is advantageous.
- Passion for sustainability and commitment to driving positive change. Demonstrated understanding of global environmental challenges and the ability to integrate sustainability into supply chain practices.
