We have an exciting new role at our Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility at Prestwick for a Shop Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Leader, you would work as part of a small group within the Engineering team, providing technical support to the Repair and Accessories part of the businessJob Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop clear and concise work instructions for technicians within regulatory requirements to meet Customer’s expectations. Provide condition reports to Customers.
- Provide in-shop support to technicians, including hardware review, repair development and part deviation assessments
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and adoption of Lean principles
- Support Quality team during root cause investigation of issues or incidents
- Participate in the sites general engineering activities and issues including existing daily shop management structures
- The Shop Support Engineer must promote a positive culture around Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost whilst demonstrating our Leadership Behaviours of Humility, Transparency, Focus and unyielding Integrity
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an Engineering qualification or be able to demonstrate appropriate technical experience
- Aviation background required
- MRO experience desired but not essential
