Machine Installer / Mechanical Fitter (Field based role)
Office location: Hunslet, Leeds (80/85% working away from home)
Salary: Competitive + plenty of overtime available
Facultatieve Technologies, a renowned global OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of cutting-edge crematorium and incineration machinery, is currently expanding its team. We have exciting opportunities for experienced field based Mechanical Installation Engineers / Machine Installers. These are full-time roles, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working, with overtime opportunities for successful candidates.
As a Mechanical Fitter / Machine Installer at FT, you will play a vital role in our operations. Our machines are industry-leading, and we need exceptional individuals who can not only follow technical drawings but also possess the ability to think on their feet, troubleshoot effectively, and adapt as needed to ensure precise and high-quality machine installations.

Key Responsibilities:
️ Carrying out machine installations nationwide and internationally (don't forget your valid passport! )
️ Collaborating with the project team to ensure successful installations within project timelines.
️ Supporting the commissioning team in testing machines for optimal performance.
️ Troubleshooting and resolving installation issues and technical challenges.
️ Coordinating and communicating effectively with stakeholders, project managers, engineers, and clients.
️ Adhering to safety protocols and company policies throughout the installation process.
️ Providing timely and accurate documentation and reports for each project.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in machine builds and installations.
Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant technical certifications.
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working with technical drawings and guidelines.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in changing circumstances.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate within a team environment.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, taking initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work under tight deadlines and go the extra mile for project success.
Professional and respectful attitude towards colleagues, clients, and visitors.
