About the role:
The purpose of our General Manager is to lead the operations and maintain established cost and quality standards to ensure delivery of service and to maximise the profits cross the Restaurant and Bar.
You will orchestrate every aspect of the business to ensure that every guest is welcomed even if they just need a glass of water. The right candidate must have full confidence in the running of the business and have full P&L accountability. You will also have a sharp understanding of business finance in order to maximise sales and exceed target
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Maintain budgets and optimise expenses
- Set policies and processes
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

About you:
- 3+ years experience working as a General Manager within hospitality
- Experience in maximising sales growth by monitoring business performance in line with budget
- Produce effective rota's to ensure staffing levels are appropriate and efficient
- Promote a positive attitude and team ethos, including ‘lead by example’, for the department, setting the pace and standards and encouraging mutual respect
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry is essential to identify key trends and keep up to date with competition
- Train and develop staff to maximise performance and reduce turnover
