We are excited to open the opportunity of joining our growing company. The role is predominantly based in Central London in Farringdon. The ideal candidate will also be expected to travel to other locations within Central London.
As a handy man you are responsible for keeping our properties maintained and fixing any faults that are needed. This can include putting in new carpets in guest rooms, repairing holes in walls, changing settings on cooling and heating equipment, putting new light bulbs in outdoor lamps and performing general cleaning tasks inside and outside the buildings. Other duties and responsibilities include repainting walls, fixing broken furniture, fixing minor electrical issues and making faucets stop leaking. You can expect a physically demanding work that includes using tools and equipment and moving around much of the day, including having to climb ladders, lift heavy items and crawl in tight spaces when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean the maintenance storerooms
- Maintain equipment and parts inventory as required
- Ensure that resources stocks are kept safe
- Attend to all types of repairs and maintenance works as required
- Repair and maintain property facilities including common areas i.e.: lights, furniture, and equipment
- Respond to requests regarding maintenance issues throughout the day
- Implement and carry out maintenance in accordance with established timeframes
- Record daily service work
- Report any health and safety issues on the floor
- To work closely with all other departments in a friendly and professional manner
- Comply with the time and attendance policies
We would love to hear from you, if you have a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role and YOU:
- Have excellent plumbing skills
- Have good communication skills and basic English
- Are able to work well under pressure
- Have a fun, energetic and “can do” attitude
- Are creative and able to use your own initiative
- Are interested in further developing your career and experience within the company
