Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential maintenance support within our production facility. Additionally, you may be involved in minor in-house project works or offer assistance to the site project team as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team of engineers on a rotating roster to ensure maintenance coverage for our facility, including weekends and night shifts.
- Collaborate with the Project Electrical Compliance Manager to fulfil electrical bias engineering responsibilities.
- Perform general electrical maintenance tasks on-site, adhering to best practices.
- Carry out mechanical engineering tasks, including the use of predictive maintenance techniques to analyse equipment.
- Conduct fault finding to diagnose and resolve plant issues affecting performance.
- Operate and maintain boilers, cooling towers, water treatment systems, and compressed air systems in compliance with legal requirements.
- Manage and stock mechanical engineering stores.
- Perform equipment servicing, such as valves and pumps, according to prescribed maintenance plans.
- Provide front-line, out-of-hours on-call cover on a rotational basis.
- Assist in other work or tasks within your competency to meet the business needs.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety, food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- Electrical bias with qualifications in the 18th Edition of the IEE regulations.
- Time-served apprenticeship training.
- Proven track record of fault finding and diagnosis.
- Competency in panel wiring and diagnosis.
- Understanding of safety systems.
- Familiarity with automation and process control systems.
- Aptitude for mechanical engineering.
Desirable:
- Experience in boiler house management, preferably BOAS.
- Electrical awareness training.
- Two years of similar experience (preferably in related industries).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
