Job description

TRC are currently looking for a Mechanically Bias multiskilled maintenance engineer for our client based in Bradford,

The Job Role

To make the production process as efficient as possible by using various principles of engineering and technology.

Responsibilities

To measure the performance of mechanical components, devices and machines
To maintain and modify equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient
To undertake test procedures
To provide technical advice
To recommend modifications to the production machines
To monitor and commission plant, machinery and systems
To work to British (BS), European (EN) and other standards
To repair, service and maintain equipment whether responding to emergency breakdowns or through planned maintenance
To comply with company health and safety rules
To participate with the quality and environmental practices in the workplace

Any other duties as directed by the Head of Procurement, Projects and Engineering or the Senior Engineer

Competencies:

Effective technical skills
Awareness of health and safety
The ability to work under pressure
Teamworking skills
A high level of technical knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems
Good oral and written communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of people, including contractors, product engineers, directors and machine operators
Organisational skills, such as time and resource planning
An analytical and problem-solving approach to work
Flexibility in order to adapt to evolving technologies
Knowledge of working with hydraulics and pneumatics
Strong fault diagnosis and ratification skills
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S

Electromechanical engineering
Electrical engineering
A welding qualification would be an advantage
