Job description
We are looking for an electrically biased multiskilled Maintenance Engineer; to service and repair electrical and mechanical equipment used within our Bletchley facility.
You would work within a team of multi-skilled engineers and contractors at the Sensient Bletchley facility to maintain, install and improve the performance of the manufacturing plant. This will be a combination of planned preventative work requests and reactive work for breakdowns.
The work environment is the workshop, production facility or office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain the Bletchley facility, plant, safety equipment and systems to comply with GMP standards and Health, Safety & Environment requirements, notably ATEX regulations.
Use and develop the Preventative Planned Maintenance system to identify and repair faults and minimise unscheduled shutdowns.
Assist with the purchasing of engineering spare parts.
Carry out, diagnose and instigate the repairs of mechanical and electrical installations.
Implement the Company Safety and Environment policy to provide a healthy and safe working environment for maintenance staff and contractors working on site and anyone who may be affected by maintenance activities.
Provides maintenance support for the implementation of capital projects.
Maintain inspection systems, procedures & schedules to ensure that the highest standards of housekeeping, product quality and safety are maintained.
Participate in the Engineering Call Out Rota .
Improve planned maintenance tickets to ensure they can be completed within time scales. Improve stock asset management for critical spares.
Ensure all jobs completed are entered into the PM system.
Ensure the workshop and offices are left clean and tidy

Engineering Systems – Understand and use the engineering systems to effectively manage the tasks on site
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrable experience of an engineering or maintenance function, gained within a chemical, process, pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment.
A recognised apprenticeship or other formal vocational qualification in mechanical and/or electrical disciplines.
A sound working knowledge of electrical, instrumentation or control systems, mechanical systems and civil construction.
