Role Summary
Employed on a shift rotation of 4-on/4-off, (0600-1800hrs), the Maintenance Shift Engineer will be responsible and accountable for the electrical and/or mechanical diagnosis, analysis, and repair of nutraceutical manufacturing and packaging process equipment. Provide preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance duties in manufacturing and packaging process as well as related utilities.
This position must comply with all Security Guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
The effectiveness of a Maintenance Engineer will directly contribute to an efficient, customer-focused, manufacturing process that drives the effective operation of plant, equipment, and systems. This means ensuring Parkacre delivers on its targets relating to against our Health & Safety, Quality, and Performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
To fulfil the role, you must be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Required
- Minimum Level 3 or time served in an engineering discipline.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or FMCG or relating Industry.
- Capability to interpret mechanical, electrical and PLC drawings and diagrams.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting that can include but is not limited to motors, pumps, transmissions, transmitters, gages, recorders, etc.
- Ability to read technical English and equipment manuals.
- Willing to work overtime, rotate and/or alternate shifts, as per business needs.
- A strategic and analytical mindset.
- Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
Desirable
- Associated engineering qualification (HND, HNC or similar)
- 18th edition
- Experience of Site service such as boilers, compressors, and hi-vac etc
- Basic knowledge of programmable logic controller (PLC) technology, behaviour, and interpretation of schematics.
