The role

The purpose of this role is to carry out day to day responsive repairs to our client's housing stock between the hours of 08.00hrs to 17.00hrs. There will also be a necessity to be available for the out of hours cover on a rota system.

It has the following main responsibilities:

• Ensure use of PDA to improve performance.
• To ensure the satisfaction of the customer by having a fixed first-time approach to all jobs.
• Assist the Head of service/Supervisors to ensure the working environment is compliant with all Health & Safety matters
• Developing and maintaining good levels of communication with all contract team members and operatives.
• Ensuring strict compliance with company and legislative requirements.

What we need;

For this role you’ll need to have the following skills and experience.

• NVQ / City & Guilds / or equivalent qualification in Brickwork.
• Knowledge of this role’s industry best practice to an intermediate/ advanced level and experienced in how to use this knowledge to ensure high standards and safe practices.
• This role will require working in customer homes, so a friendly and professional attitude is needed.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe practices
• Experience of working in social housing
• Please note due to health and safety reasons, all operatives wear RPE and so we operate under a clean-shaven policy.
• A full UK driving licence.
