The impact you’ll make
First impressions are everything. And you’ll set the tone for every guest’s stay. When a guest walks into our Hotel – imagine that first look around they take, followed by that sigh of relief because they’ve arrived to their home away from home, be it for a night or a week, and it’s perfect. Everything is working just the way it should.
What you’ll do
You will work alongside a team of Maintenance Technicians with many years of experience in varied roles, initially working on basic maintenance tasks you will be completing tasks and learning varied skills such as
carrying out any repair or rectifying any maintenance issues throughout the hotel as and when they arise
respond to and attend to guest repair requests
perform preventative maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical equipment
Report any new or developing engineering works that need to be addressed to the Engineering Manager
Assist with maintaining the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc
Assist with energy saving and green initiatives within the hotel
Work alongside a mentor within the department, to learn a variety of skills
As well as on the job training, your Level 2 certificate in electrical or plumbing will be completed through an approved College over a 24 month period and includes time spent at the beginning of the programme completing your enrolment & initial functional skills assessments, as well as an End point assessment to complete your training and gain your qualification. A qualified Maintenance Assessor will visit you in the workplace every few weeks.
