Job description
Chestnut Hill College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty Member to teach a 3-credit, 100-level course in Forensic Science in Spring 2024. The course is offered from the Center for Natural & Behavioral Sciences and fulfills a general education requirement for students (it is open to both science and non-science majors). The course runs in the Spring Term 2024 (January 16 – May 8). Founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Chestnut Hill College is an independent, Catholic institution that fosters excellence by providing a holistic education within a strong liberal arts tradition.
Timeline:
- While the position is open until filled, preference will be given to applicants who apply before October 1st, allowing the successful applicant the opportunity to provide preferences as to teaching dates/time.
- An M.S. or Ph.D. Degree in any area of Biology, Chemistry, Toxicology, Forensic Science, or a related field in the natural sciences
- Prior teaching experience is highly preferred
- Conduct 75-minute, face-to-face instruction twice a week
- Use Canvas LMS for course materials and grade entry
