Job purpose
To provide administrative support within the engineering department, assisting in the smooth running of the department
Duties and responsibilities
- Ordering / sourcing / receipting of engineering parts
- Track and source equivalent parts from alternative suppliers
- Stock control within our engineering stores at both sites.
- Budget tracking and allocating correct cost centres
- Engineering stores upkeep/housekeeping
- Dispatch of parts for repair
- Record keeping
- Issuing / updating PPM / cross ref with job sheet
- Supporting the new CMMS system for PPM
- Work closely with the engineering team to drive and implement improvements for said job profile
- Any other duties as requested by a senior member of the Engineering department
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Working within and promote a health and safety culture
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Self motivated, able to manage own time and work to deadlines
- Ability to carry out detailed work
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to investigate, resolve and address issues in a methodical and timely manner
- PC literate
- Good communicational skills
- Basic knowledge of engineering parts would advantageous, but not essential
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
