We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Mailroom Assistant / Post Room Operative / Mail Sorter who is customer focussed and professional at all times with the ability to work accurately.
Working as a Mailroom operative you will work as a member of the Site Services Team to ensure the efficient, effective, and proactive running of the service.
As a Mailroom Operative you will perform a variety of tasks related to the mailroom and will flexibly and proactively respond to any client requirements as and when necessary. Functions will include manual handling.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Mailroom Assistant / Post Room Operative / Mail Sorter will include:
· Promoting excellent customer service
· Build relationships with users and manage their perception and expectations, including resolving immediate/simple operational problems to ensure the best levels of customer service are delivered
· Receiving, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
· Dealing with enquiries from the client, both face to face and on the telephone
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
· Professional at all times when dealing with clients and proactively represent the company on site promoting excellent customer service
· Team oriented pro-active, open minded team player
· Ability to demonstrate commitment and flexibility at all times
· Multi-tasking skills and ability to work on a variety of items simultaneously
· Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people
· Work accurately, under pressure, to tight deadlines with the ability to remain calm
· Basic IT skills – Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Email and Web
· Knowledge of UK & international mailing arrangements (Desirable)
· Previous experience of Mailroom Operations (Desirable full training will be provided)
· Experience dealing with enquiries from the client, both face to face and on the telephone (Desirable)
· Comfortable working in a small to medium team
Completing company training
Further requirements Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK Due to the nature of the role, applicants must pass level 2 Police Vetting.
Candidates must be able to provide a 10 year checkable background or CBR if required.
Package 40 hours per week Monday to Friday day shift with opportunity for overtime
Rate of pay is £9.90 per hour and enhanced rates available for weekend working for support in other areas of the business.
