The Sr. Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving the execution of quality goals and objectives.
You will be subject matter expert of product and process quality. You will proactively drive actions to meet internal and external customer expectations for quality.You will work in CFTs (cross functional teams) for corrective actions, customer escalations, supplier issues, new product introductions, and internal and external audits. You will work on continuous improvement (Six sigma and Lean) projects.
Senior Quality Engineer
· As Sr. Quality Engineer, you will help driving our production/operation into excellence in quality and meeting our customer’s expectation in high tech industries. And you will be involved in all aspects of supplier development/supplier quality management, company manufacturing quality, and customer support.
· Improve our production/product quality through daily SPC monitoring, and initiate/implement/close CAPAs with techniques/methods such as process capability analysis, failure analysis, DOE, RCCA, FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, etc.
· Monitor and conduct CAPAs on quality indicators, such as First Pass Yield (FPY), Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY), and Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAPS), both internally and externally at suppliers.
· Perform both internal and supplier quality audits.
· Work with both suppliers and customers in quality related issues, and support nonconformance report and DMR disposition, including customer complaints, to ensure and improve the manufacturing process reliability and product quality.
· Support the evaluation, and IQ/OQ/PQ of new manufacturing equipment, new measurement and testing tools/methods, and new facilities.
· Provide support and facilitate Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Develop, analyze and verify effectiveness of process controls by teaming with engineering to review customer specifications and drawings. Support new product introduction (NPI) activities with customer’s product design transfers and reviewing/approving plans, First Article Inspection and reports (FAIR).
· Knowledgeable in AS 9100 D and ISO 9001: 2015 standards. Maintain and improve company QMS in complying with AS 9100 and ISO 9001 standards. Experience in AS 9100 D and ISO 9001 audit are preferred.
· Provide training and mentoring junior personnel in quality controls, quality inspection techniques/methods, and internal audits.
· Other duties, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.
Qualifications & Certifications:
BS degree or higher in Quality, IE, ME preferred
Minimum of 5 years quality or manufacturing engineering experience.
Significant problem-solving skills/experience (FMEA, DMAIC and 8-D)
Preferred ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt and CQE certifications
Preferred experience in AS 9100 D and ISO 9001 audit.
Through knowledge of statistical techniques, such as SPC, DOE and GR&R, etc.
Advanced computer skills including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and SPC statistical software (Minitab).
Strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Thorough knowledge of GD&T and latest ASME Y 14.5 standard.
Knowledge of advanced quality process such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) in NPI.
