We are authorised to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Rolls-Royce marine gas turbines used for marine propulsion.

A vacancy has arisen within RWG ARBK for a Machine Shop Operator. The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and will report to the Production Supervisor. The primary function of this position will be to carry out machining duties and assist in the smooth, efficient and safe operation of the department in accordance with Company procedures.
Job Description:
·Plan and organise each task given to ensure that it complies with QHS&E Company procedures / guidelines and is completed in a timely manner.
·Ensure correct procedures and documentation are used at all times.
·Provide regular feedback to Supervisor on progress of each task and escalate any issues that may impact on agreed turn times.
·Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and perform other related or comparable duties as assigned (5’s).
·Ensure consumable levels are well stocked and inform Supervision when consumables require re-ordering.
·Machining of components of all engine types using manually and CNC operated lathes, vertical borer, jig borer, mill and cylindrical grinders as required.
·Basic Preventative Maintenance of machines prior to use and reporting faults/defect to Supervision
·Provide on the job technical training as required.
·To ensure that the correct standards of material handling are observed at all times.
Experience:
·Time served Machinist Recognised Apprenticeship.
·Several years of experience in a machining environment.
·Ability to translate technical requirements into operational instructions.
