Machine Operator
Humdinger, Bromborough
At Humdinger we’re recruiting for Machine Operatives to join our team, based our nut processing site in Bromborough.
We are recruiting for 6 Grade 2 Machine Operatives and 3 Grade 3 Machine Operatives.
This role offers pay grades based on your experience and knowledge.
Pay Rate:
Grade 2: £12.14 per hour
Grade 3: £12.84 per hour.
Shift pattern:
Monday - Friday:
Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
Week 3: 22:00 - 06:00
Responsibilities:To ensure that the production lines operate efficiently, by sharing responsibility of:
Managing the machines input and output for efficient production.
Operating the machinery, setting it up for production, doing routine maintenance and cleaning.
Working as part of a team to deliver the Production Plan. Being flexible to take on other duties, in any area of the factory as seen fit by your Line Manager. Good communications & flexibility.
Operate and maintain machinery.
Work as part of a busy team, but also be resourceful and make independent decisions within the day’s work.
Maintain a flexible approach to work to meet team based work requirements.
Observe and maintain safety levels with particular attention to machinery and electrical equipment.
Maintain a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene.
Undertake training to meet food legislation requirements.
Generate product labeling ensuring accuracy.
As part of a team manage time and plan the schedule of work.
Liaise and communicate with other teams.
To undertake other duties within the Manufacturing team and the wider business as deemed reasonable by the Factory Manager.
Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
The ability to work with and understand computer systems.
Ideally have a working understanding of Processing machinery or similar.
Experience of production work.
Experience of quality assurance.
Experience in planning and prioritisng work.
Food basic hygiene certificate.
Good numerical skills.
