Location(s): Griesdale Croft Residential Home Alston
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months
Hours: 33 hours per week
Salary: £21575 pro rata
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

We have an opportunity in our residential care home for an experienced cook to join our team and develop their knowledge and skills especially with nutrition and dietary planning. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the resident's lives as each of their dietary and care needs will be catered to.
Our Home
Grisedale Croft Residential Home provides a safe caring and home from home environment for up to 13 residents with different levels of health care needs. Situated close to all facilities in the town of Alston we offer residential care and community health beds for those who are elderly frail or have dementia
The Role
As a cook you will support the day to day running of the kitchen maintaining the highest standards completing paperwork and ensuring adherence to infection control and Environmental Health procedures. You will be required to learn and understand the individual needs of each resident developing and adapting their meal plans to meet their nutritional needs.
There is also the opportunity for additional hours to cover the rest of the Kitchen team during periods of annual leave.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check.
