Machine Operator Packer
Reports to: Shift Leader
Machine Operator Packer working in a small team
Starting hourly rate of £11.02
Working hours - 37.5 hours per week 6am – 4pm Monday to Thursday
30 Minute unpaid break, and 10-minute paid break per day.
Full training given. May be needed to work in other areas of the business if required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Start up and run production of injection moulding machines. Removing parts from tooling.
2. To ensure all manufactured parts conform to and are packaged to product specification.
3. To ensure all production related documents are completed correctly to a high standard.
4. Receive training across various production processes.
Challenges
1. Learning to start up the machines and keep up to production rates.
2. Make and package good quality parts.
3. Learning the computer system (booking in jobs, issuing material stock, and making box labels etc.).
4. Maintaining effective working relationships with all operators and management team including those of other departments.
5. Reactive approach to urgent and constantly changing demands.
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of production machinery and equipment, previous experience in working on a production line preferred. Forklift license desirable but not essential.
Experience
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
