Built on a passion for home fragrance, The Country Candle Company has always been about beautifully British products. Set in the heart of rural Hampshire within the boundaries of the South Downs National Park and just two miles away from novelist Jane Austen's house, we hand pour all of our candles, reed diffusers and wax melts in the quaint village of Farringdon.
We are looking for a full time enthusiastic production operative to join our busy team at our scented candle manufacturing factory.
No experience is necessary as full training will be provided, although previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial. A team player that is reliable and has good work ethic is essential, along with a steady hand, good concentration, a keen eye for detail and quality control.
Primarily this role involves supporting our manufacturing line making scented candles from a molten wax blend and beautiful fragrance oil. Typically, this includes base labelling tins/glass, setting out on benches ready for the pour, positioning or gluing wicks, dressing candles with petals. operating labelling machines, pouring reed diffusers, packing finished products and stocking shelves. This is truly a fun and creative environment to work in.
Please be aware this is a factory environment and the work requires being on your feet. In some areas we have fatigue matting, but this can’t be used on the pouring lines. So comfortable footwear with a good sole is recommended.
Job Type: Full Time position. hours 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday - Friday
The Applicant will have a full UK driving licence and their own vehicle as currently there is no regular public transport to Farringdon.
