Job description
The job description of the machine operator is to inspect and manage the machine to their best ability in order to guarantee the production of high quality products.
He/she understands various job needs by learning different job types, assessing needs of each job & organizing job sequence.
They also maintain production quality by inspecting all produced materials carefully to identify any errors that might have occurred during production and correct them to prevent client dissatisfaction.
Machine operators are responsible for ensuring that equipment is always in good shape by taking preventive maintenance measures and following manufacturer’s maintenance tips.
When malfunctioning, what they do is take the equipment for repairs and liaise with the engineering team, also inquire about new maintenance and operation techniques.
The operator will inspect all equipment and materials to ensure that they are not in shortage and will raise any issues with the production team leader.
Essential Requirements:
· Excellent attention to detail a must.
· Machine Operating Experience essential.
· A team player – prepared to help others.
· Continuous improvement minded.
Desirable Requirements:
· Experience within the packaging industry
· Die Cutting operating experience advantageous.
· Forklift driving advantageous due to multi skilled work available
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £11.72 per hour

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
