Oadby Plastics Head Office is located in Leicestershire, situated just off the M1/M69 on Braunstone Frith Industrial Estate. About the role as a Machine Operator:
- Set and Operate our range of Beam, Panel, Band and Rip Saws
- Set and Operate our Thicknessers making sure all tolerances stated are adhered to
- Set and Operate our Centreless Grinding machine, achieving all tolerances stated
- Undertake machining and packing duties involved with our Harris Board range
- To meet production quality, output levels and to make sure they are optimised
- Ensure works orders are signed off at first off and completion stage, always using booking points
- Keep your working area clean and tidy, returning all off cuts to the correct area
- Dispose of all plastic waste to the designated graded cages
- Carry out daily/weekly machine checks, reporting any issues to the Team Leader
- Complete all QA documentation associated on larger orders
What experience do you need to have:
- Must have experience of working within a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment
- Ideally experience of working with any woodworking machinery, including beam saws, panel saws and thicknessers
- Knowledge of centreless grinding would be advantageous
- A valid Reach or Counterbalance FLT licence would be advantageous
- Strive for 100% accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Desire to complete the job in the most efficient way possible

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm/1:45pm - 9:45pm (rotating shift pattern)
Overtime: Paid at time and a half
