Job description
Gap Personnel are recruiting for a Machine Minder for are client based in Great Yarmouth to join the Production team on a Full time Permanent basis.
This important role is vital to the smooth running of the department and the future of the business. You will have the opportunity to multi-skill in future, their main purpose will be to train for all lines.
Pay: £26,500 to £28,500 P/A
Shifts: 2-day shifts 0600AM -1800PM then 2 nights 1800PM -0600AM then 4 days off
You will receive 4 half hour breaks per shift.
Ideally you would have previous experience of injection moulding process.
Reporting to the Production Manager, this role will include.
- Follow specifications for the manufacture of each product, ensuring that the machinery is set up correctly and safely.
- Wash dies and ensure that the dies are clean and free from damage prior to use. Select and change specified dies as required.
- Check and measure product dimensions, adjust if necessary and take remedial action to meet specified standards.
- Check the consistency/moisture and quality of the product and where required record details and adjust.
- There is a requirement to record various pieces of information throughout the shift either by hand or on a computer.
- Maintain cleanliness of the lines and the factory
- Ensure all relevant information regarding gaps, product changes, and problems are communicated to relevant personnel engaged in packing activities, note good and bad products, and minimize wastage.
- To work alongside the other Press Operatives and Engineers in case of breakdowns to minimize product loss and plant/machinery damage.
