Advanced AI Engineer
Advanced AI Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. (Plymouth, MN)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply autonomy technologies to a range of application areas, such as ground and air vehicles, robotic controls, applied analytics, computer vision navigation, and other advanced aerospace applications.
Responsible for sensor processing and data analysis, sensor fusion techniques, implementation of algorithms to extract navigation information from sensor data, perception, operation without GPS and development of deep learning algorithms using existing frameworks.
Participate in advanced concept development, technology development, and technical coordination.

Job Site: Plymouth, MN- 40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:
Qualified applicants must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience.
Full term of experience must include: industry experience applying conventional computer vision and machine learning technologies to aerial vehicle precision landing applications and vision based position-velocity estimation applications; Programming Languages, including C++, Python, and C; Software Skills, including MATLAB and Simulink; Opensource Platforms; Sensors, including Camera (EO/IR), IMU, GPS, LiDAR; in Autonomy technologies; and presentation skills.
Must possess full term of experience in the following: working with multidisciplinary teams developing and integrating advanced algorithms and hardware for system prototypes or early product development; research experience developing capabilities for autonomous systems with particular emphasis on navigation, planning, perception, or vehicle control; with sensor fusion for navigation, video/lidar based navigation, SLAM; and object recognition, structure from motion, image segmentation using both ‘classical’ image based methods and emerging techniques based on Deep Learning.
Telecommuting up to 2 times per week.
